OUR STORY
The Racquet Academy was started in 2001 by John Heuerman, who at the time was a full time Tennis Coach. After noticing his clients often arriving at lessons with ill-fitting racquets, which would hinder their progress. John set out to change this, studied everything he could about Racquets to help his clients; the beginning of great relationships with a variety of brands. Soon, demand for his specialist advice and equipment exceeded the size of the boot of his car. To support the retail facility John enlisted his father Alan who created the now renowned re-stringing service and the business kicked off from there! Today, he runs the Racquet Academy with his daughter, and they are proud to have a team of fully-qualified, experienced Tennis Coaches who also work as specialist trained Equipment Advisors.
